Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year to everyone from Northampton North Labour Party
Comment : The news that Sally Keeble MP is to stand again will be welcomed by the vast majority of people in the constituency. However it will be very bad news indeed for the , so-called and self appointed, Lib-Dem parliamentary spokesman who is under the illusion that he can win here. Northampton North will never elect a weak and ineffectual Lib-Dem who would have no influence whatsoever in Parliament. Everyone knows that in every general election in living memory they have finished in a far distant third place and that they will again next time. Sally Keeble MP has a proven track record as a dedicated, hardworking and well respected MP who stands up for her constituency and its people and we know that she will keep on doing that. That is why the people of Northampton North will re-elect her next time.

Sally Keeble MP is re-selected

We are pleased to tell you that Sally Keeble MP has been re-selected to to stand as The Labour Party candidate for Northampton North constituency at the next general election. Since first becoming our Member of Parliament in 1997 she has proved herself to be a commited and hardworking MP, dedicated to making sure that northampton North and all its people, many thousands of whom she has personally met and helped, continue to reap the rewards of having a Labour government. We are convinced that she will continue to be an outstanding Member of Parliament and advocate for the town in the years to come.

New hospital for the town

A brand new state of the art psychiatric hospital is to be built on the site of the old Pendred and Princess Marina hospitals. This £35 million developement is just another proof, if one were needed, of Labours total commitment to the NHS.

More help for children

Northamptonshire is to benefit from another huge increase in funding to extend and improve the Sure Start programme that has allready helped many local families with young children. This extremely important and popular resource was opposed by the Conservatives when the Labour government first introduced it.
