Labours achievements in Northampton North - More doctors and nurses working in the NHS and much shorter waiting times for hospital treatment. More police and community support offices on the streets fighting crime. More for families and children with higher benefit payments, longer maternity leave and for the first time paternity leave as well. More help for pensioners with increased winter fuel payments, free TV licenses for those over 75 and now free local bus travel for everyone over 60. Massive investment in education with every school in the area modernised and new ones built. More help for students with better funding. More people in employment with a minimum wage and guaranteed holidays for all.

Much achieved but more to do - Labour wants to do much more to improve the lives of everyone. we want Britain to be number one for education with every child given the best start in life. We want an NHS that earns the trust of patients and staff. More affordable housing and stronger and safer communities. We want to tackle the challenges of climate change, terrorism and security. We want to build a fairer and more just society. Labour is the peoples party, working together we can make a better life for us all.
